Javier Morillo becomes Spain’s first SPCT
At Estratecno, we are especially proud to announce that our colleague Javier Morillo has earned the SAFe Practice Consultant Trainer (SPCT) credential, becoming the first professional in Spain to achieve this recognition.
This is an extraordinary milestone in his professional career and also a major step forward for Estratecno, strengthening our ability to train, advise, and support organizations and professionals throughout their SAFe® transformation journeys.
The most demanding credential in the SAFe ecosystem
The SPCT credential recognizes professionals with extensive experience in applying SAFe, training consultants, and supporting large-scale enterprise transformations.
Earning this credential involves far more than completing a course or passing an exam. Candidates must demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the framework, hands-on experience with real-world implementations, the ability to train other professionals, and an ongoing contribution to the development of the SAFe community.
SPCTs also play a key role within the Scaled Agile ecosystem, as they are authorized to train future SAFe Practice Consultants (SPCs) — the professionals responsible for leading SAFe implementations and supporting organizations through their Lean-Agile transformations.
A journey that began in September 2024
Javier began his journey towards the SPCT credential in September 2024. Since then, he has completed a particularly demanding process that included launching three Agile Release Trains (ARTs), publishing several specialized articles, and carrying out extensive work as an official SAFe trainer.
Throughout this journey, he has had to demonstrate not only his mastery of the framework, but also his ability to apply it in real organizational contexts, lead transformation initiatives, train other professionals, and share knowledge with the community.
Achieving this credential is the result of months of work, preparation, and dedication, as well as a professional career built over many years around business agility, training, and supporting organizations through transformation.
A career dedicated to Lean-Agile transformation
Javier has more than thirty years of experience in information technology and an extensive track record leading Agile implementations across organizations in a wide range of industries.
As a SAFe Practice Consultant, Agile Coach, and consultant specializing in Lean-Agile transformations, he has worked on projects for organizations including the European Central Bank, the European Space Agency, Admiral, Holcim, and Tracasa, among others.
His consulting experience is complemented by a strong background as a trainer. Over the years, he has helped numerous professionals understand and apply SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean, bringing into the classroom the knowledge and insights gained from real-world projects and transformations.
The SPCT credential is further recognition of these two complementary aspects of his professional profile: his hands-on experience supporting organizations and teams, and his ability to train and develop the professionals who will lead the transformations of the future.
A step forward for Estratecno
Having an SPCT on our team also represents an important step forward for Estratecno as a Scaled Agile Gold Transformation Partner.
This recognition further strengthens our SAFe expertise and expands our ability to provide training and transformation support at the highest level. It will enable us to continue helping professionals, teams, and organizations navigate their transformation journeys through a combination of specialized knowledge, practical experience, and official training.
Javier’s credential also reflects Estratecno’s commitment to excellence and the continuous development of our team. We believe that the best way to support our clients and students is to work with professionals who not only understand frameworks and methodologies, but who have also demonstrated their ability to apply them, teach them, and help them evolve in real-world environments.
An achievement worth celebrating
Becoming an SPCT is the culmination of a long and demanding journey, but it also marks the beginning of a new professional chapter.
Everyone at Estratecno would like to congratulate Javier on this achievement and thank him for the effort, perseverance, and dedication he has shown throughout the entire process. We are delighted to celebrate this milestone with him and to have on our team a professional who continues to expand his expertise while actively contributing to the growth of the SAFe community.
Congratulations, Javier!
