Introduction

For the success of a good Scrum implementation, it is absolutely necessary to have qualified Product Owners, knowledgeable and skilled using the relevant agile techniques and who support the use of Scrum in their organization to build high-quality products that satisfy the needs of the users, stakeholders and the market.

The training is eminently practical where the attendees will have to devise with the rest of their classmates a suitable product for the chosen context, define the vision and the users, the objectives, empathize with the users to search for pain points and possible improvements, analyze In more depth the context and the impact, make use of the tools for expectation management and roadmap definition.

The official Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification is included in the price.

  • Practice the main activities of the Product Owner: analyze your context with Cynefin, describe in your own words the Scrum framework, describe the responsibilities, knowledge and skills of the Product Owner, define a product and its vision through different tools, define user persona, get a better understanding of the user and identify possible improvements using the product empathy map, get a better context understanding with the context mapping, how to increase transparency and a better understanding of what the product does, what doesn’t do, what it is and what it isn’t, define the roadmap, apply different prioritization techniques, define user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Identify and deliver the value required by users and the market through regular and frequent deliveries, working side by side with the rest of the Scrum team and stakeholders in a process of continuous product evaluation.
  • Understand techniques that facilitate high-quality product deliveries in short cycles, ensuring that the product is the one needed by the user, customers or market.
  • Through exercises, simulations and practical cases similar to real products, strengthen your Product Owner skills.

The course includes exercises and dynamics based on “learn by doing” so that the attendees, apart from being able to internalize the framework, the cycle and its elements, will obtain a solid foundation on Agile Product Management and learn all the basics and practices necessary to define and create a successful product.

Before the class
We provide to the attendee access to the Virtual Classroom where all the live videoconference sessions with the CST® (Certified Scrum Trainer) are available, as well as official course material, additional material, and reading recommendations.

During the course
The attendee will use tools (Mural and/or similar) to co-create digitally part of the course content. The attendee will learn not only from the experience of the trainer/s but also from the rest of the attendees interacting with as a group. Practice and discussions in pairs and/or groups about different topics will help the attendee to internalize concepts and maximize understanding of Scrum. The practices are carried out in breakout rooms to enhance the group member interaction. The attendee will have a period of 30 days to download all the course material (the one created during the course, boards, any other official material…)

The infrastructure, tools and platform are provided by Estratecno. Having a stable and high-speed internet connection and a computer with a microphone and a camera is enough.

CSPO Certification
Once the attendee has completed the course with the minimum required attendance hours (actually it is 14 hours for this course) and have been actively participated in the activities, s/he will receive an e-mail from Scrum Alliance to download their CSPO certification.

There is no certification exam. The certification is obtained by the continuous assessments done in class and attending the minimum hours required for it.
